Yesterday just after 16:30hrs, Company 59 was dispatched for an accident, vehicle on its roof with possible fire on PA-283 near the Airport Connector.

Chief and Engine 59 arrived finding a truck carrying road paint overturned and on fire after striking a car in backed up traffic. The driver of both vehicles self extricated prior to FD arrival. Rescue and Tanker 59 arrived just after assisting the Engine crew with fire attack and patient assessment. While all this was occurring, the motorcade for President Trump passed nearby returning to the airport after his event in York. Both events caused major traffic delays with road closures during rush hour.

After returning and cleaning up from the accident, crews headed to the river for our annual pump test on Engine and Tanker 59. FF D. Myers annually conducts pump tests on both rigs to ensure they perform to their standard rated by the manufacturer at delivery. Thanks to everyone for their help during the long evening.
